Join us this Sunday July 16 for the Farm Friends and Flowers event from 4-8pm! We’ll have lots of furry and feathery friends at the farm for you to enjoy and learn about.

The entry fee to the Farm Friends area is $7 per person or $30 max per family (in the same household).

Adults can take home a wildflower mini-bouquet (5 stems) and everyone can enjoy watching Farm Friends including …

  • A live sheep shearing demonstration
  • A parrot show by 91 Feathers
  • Ducklings, baby goats, baby turkey, sheep & more!
  • The Hayground (including inflatables) for kids 10 and under

Volunteer hosts will be provided by Core Services, a non-profit organization supporting people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in Northeast Tennessee.

Some animals may be available for petting. A handwashing station will be available as you leave the Farm Friends area. Here are a few guidelines for children around animals from the CDC.

  • Always supervise children around animals.
  • Children under 5 years old should not touch reptiles amphibians or poultry (like chickens or ducks) because these animals are more likely to make them sick.
  • Leave items like strollers pacifiers cups or toys outside the exhibit.
  • Don’t let children put their fingers or objects (like pacifiers) in their mouths when they’re around animals or in an animal area.
  • Don’t let children sit or play on the ground in animal areas.
  • Teach children to approach animals with caution and follow the rules.
  • Don’t let children put their fingers or objects near an animal’s mouth even if the animal seems friendly.
  • Follow rules provided on signs or verbally by the staff. For example some contact exhibits have a “two-finger touch” rule.

Paradise Acres Family Farm Park sits on a beautiful 24-acre farm just outside the Johnson City city limits in the Boones Creek area. Activities include a resort-level 18-hole mini-golf course, outdoor laser tag (day or night), an air-powered tennis ball cannon, a gift shop featuring the work of local artisans, and concessions including 20 flavors of Ashby’s Sterling ice cream.
